Mama Dash

Quick Synopsis:
Twilight Sparkle learns a new spell that can alter a pony's age and make them older. Eager to try it on herself, she dreams of participating in the Unicorn Games, but finds out she isn't old enough to participate. What's worse is Spike "spills the beans" to the other mane ponies, and they demand Twilight cast the spell on them too. The spell hits a snag and they don't become older, but rather become babies instead. Rainbow Dash bolts in, too late to become older and finds herself in a sticky situation…

The story begins in Ponyville as Twilight Sparkle trots through town. Upon reaching Sugarcube Corner, she sees a poster taped to the side of the building. She moves closer to see the writing and begins analyzing it.
"The 120th Annual Unicorn Games are coming to Ponyville this year." Twilight stated, reading the poster, "All unicorns are eligible to enter. First prize gets to spend a day with Princess Celestia in Canterlot!" Twilight squeed happily after reading the poster. She holds Princess Celestia in high regard and dreamed to spend an entire day with her tutor. She bolts to the registration area, missing over an important detail; must be at least 3 years old to participate.

Twilight ran as fast as she could to the registration area, which was in front of the Town Hall building.
"Yes, can I help you?" a pony asked Twilight. Twilight panted, trying to regain her energy before replying.
"I'm Twilight Sparkle." Twilight replied, "I'm here to enter the Unicorn Games."
"How old are you miss?" the pony asked again. Twilight's eyes grew wide.
"Excuse me?" Twilight asked.
"I asked you; how old are you?" the pony stated again.
"Uhm...I'm 2 years old." Twilight replied.
"I'm sorry, dear, but you can't enter." the pony said.
"What? But why?" Twilight asked.
"I don't make the rules dear," the pony stated, "The rule clearly states you must at least 3 years old to participate." Twilight began to cry and holding back her tears, she ran all the way back to her home and slammed the door behind her. She then darted into her bedroom, doing the same to her bedroom door. Collapsing onto her bed, she began to ball her eyes out.

This wakes up Spike, who was sleeping in his bed at the base of Twilight's.
"Hmm...what's going on?" Spike asked slowly. He then rubbed his eyes, stretched and got out of bed. He climbed onto Twilight's bed and saw her crying.
"Twilight," Spike asked, "What's wrong?"
"Oh Spike, it's terrible!" Twilight whined, "I went down to Sugarcube Corner and saw a poster for the Unicorn Games."
"The Unicorn Games," Spike replied, "I never heard about that."
"It's an event that brings together all the best unicorns and alicorns from all across Equestria." Twilight stated, taking a deep breath before continuing, "But it turns out you need to be 3 years of age to participate!" Twilight continued to ball after finishing her sentence.
"I think there's a spell that can solve your problem." Spike replied.
"Really," Twilight replied, picking her head up, "There's a spell that can help me?"
"What's it called?" Twilight asked, getting up off the bed and walking towards the bedroom door.
"It's called an "age alteration" spell," Spike stated, "And it should help you with your problem."

Twilight began fumbling through her spell book looking for the age alteration spell.
"Ah here it is," Twilight said, "Age alteration spell." Twilight began reading over the spell and began trying to memorize the chant needed to activate it. Little did Twilight know, Spike sneaked out and found Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy who were in Sugarcube Corner.
"I'm glad you could help me make cupcakes." Pinkie said.
"Oh, it's no problem at all." Fluttershy replied, "I've always wanted to learn how to bake."
"Well, I think you've got it down pat." Pinkie said, giggling. Spike then walked through the front door.
"Hello Pinkie," Spike said warmly, "Hello Fluttershy."
"Hello Spike," the two said at the same time.
"What brings you to Sugarcube Corner?" Pinkie asked.
"I have something I need to say to you two." Spike began, "Can we talk in private please?" Spike looked around as there were a bunch of ponies sitting in the dining area, chatting away.
"Sure, no problem, follow me." Pinkie said, showing Fluttershy and Spike to the backroom.

"A what?" Pinkie exclaimed.
"An age alteration spell." Spike replied.
"Gee, I've never heard of anything like that." Fluttershy said quietly, looking at Pinkie.
"It's a very unknown spell that allows anypony to alter their age and make themselves older." Spike stated.
"But...why would somepony want to do that?" Pinkie asked.
"For a number of reasons," Spike replied, "But, you have to be very precise when chanting the spell. If you make a mistake, it could have drastic repercussions."
"Like what?" Pinkie asked. Spike just shuddered.
"I don't want to talk about it." Spike replied.
"Well...I'm in!" Pinkie replied joyfully, "That spell sounds like fun!"
"Um...if you don't mind...uh...I'd like to be in as well...if that's okay with you..." Fluttershy replied quietly.
"Sure," Spike replied, "Let's go get Rarity and Applejack and we'll venture back to Twilight's."

The three decided to go visit Applejack first and then go back to Rarity's before heading back to Twilight's. Applejack was busy collecting apples when the three showed up.
"Howdy y'all," Applejack said, "What can I do for you three?"
"Well you see Applejack…" Spike began, but was cut off by Pinkie Pie.
"Twilight has this age alteration spell, and me and Fluttershy are going to become older! Want to join?" Spike sighed angrily.
"Well...shoot," Applejack replied, "Count me in!"
"Yay!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed, jumping up and down.
"That was quick." Spike replied.
"Come on," Pinkie exclaimed, "Let go get Rarity!" The group then ran as fast as they could back to Rarity's parlor.

Rarity was inside her parlor, trying to throw together dresses to put on display. The group proceeded inside, ringing the bell hung on top of the door frame.
"Hello, may I help you?" Rarity asked; with her back to the group.
"Rarity," Spike began, "We need to talk to you about something." Rarity had turned around and walked towards the group.
"Oh, about what dear?" she asked.

"Oh my," Rarity said, "An age alteration spell!"
"Yes," Spike replied, "Twilight's trying to memorize the spell and wants to cast it on herself, but these three want her to cast on them as well." Spike pointed to Pinkie, Fluttershy and Applejack.
"Well, you might as well make reservations for four then." Rarity replied.
"Rarity?" Spike replied, "Not you too!"
"Oh, relax darling," Rarity replied, "What's the worse that could happen?"
"Ooh! Ooh! I know! I know!" Pinkie exclaimed, jumping up and down, "We could actually become younger!" They all stared at Pinkie.
"Yeah...that." Spike replied, angrily, pointing at Pinkie Pie.
"We'll just have to be extra careful then." Rarity said, winking. The group moved onto Twilight's house. Rainbow Dash, who was hiding near an open window, heard the whole conversation.
"There's no way I'm going to be the youngest out of us 6." Rainbow said to herself, "Not on my watch." She silently flew behind the group, who had just entered Twilight's house.

Twilight had just finished up memorizing the spell when Spike and the other 4 entered.
"Hey, Twilight," Spike said, "Finished memorizing that spell?"
"Yes, I have." Twilight replied, turning towards Spike to see Fluttershy, Pinkie, Rarity and Applejack there.
"What are they doing here?" Twilight asked.
"You have something we want." Rarity said.
"What are you talking about?" Twilight questioned.
"Don't play dumb sugarcube!" Applejack said angrily.
"Give us the age alteration spell!" Pinkie said angrily as well.
"Um...if that's okay with you..." Fluttershy said quietly.
"Spike!" Twilight exclaimed, "This was supposed to be for me and me alone!"
"Gee, that's not very generous..." Rarity replied.
"You know what," Twilight said, "Fine." The group looked at each other happily.
"Oh thank you, Twilight!" they all exclaimed happily. Twilight turned her attention to the spell and began chanting her, her horn glowing. The group got closer as she began.
"Five ponies, there ages altered, began again as older ones." Twilight said, chanting.
"I've got you now!" Rainbow exclaimed. Rainbow darted into room, but the spell had already taken effect and blinded Spike and Rainbow as the room got enveloped in a harsh, white light. When the light receded; Rainbow Dash and Spike saw that the other ponies were nowhere to be found.
"Where'd they go?" Rainbow asked. Spike looked down at the ground.
"Uh...Rainbow..." Spike said nervously, "You're not going to like this..." Rainbow looked at the other mane ponies and saw they were now babies!
"Oh, horseapples." Rainbow said.
