MLP: Daring Confidence

Quick Synopsis:
(The sixth in a series of Confidenceshipping oneshots.)
Rainbow Dash has become engrossed in the Daring Do series of books. She begins to believe that'd she would go on an adventure with Daring Do. White Lightning decides this is the perfect opportunity to get Rainbow Dash to go out with him, so he dons the persona of Daring Do.

Daring Confidence

"Daring Do made the long way up the glass staircase," Rainbow Dash began, "Then carefully stepped into the Crystal Chamber where the Ruby Challis lay."
"Careful as to not trip any traps, Daring Do tip-hooved from space to space until the Challis was right there."
"Making sure there was no trap underneath, Daring Do swiped the challis and darted out of the building." Rainbow Dash closed the book and rubbed her eyes. The clock on her wall read 9:00am.
"I've been reading this story for four hours," she said, "I need a break from it." She then placed the book on the nightstand and slowly walked into the bathroom to wake her up.
"Oh, how I wish Daring Do was real, and the two of us would go on an adventure together." she said softly, as she turned the water on in the sink.

After waking herself up with cold water, she flew down to Twilight's house. Twilight had just walked out the front door when Rainbow approached.
"Rainbow Dash, hello there!" Twilight said happily.
"Hey there, Twilight." Rainbow replied.
"What brings you here?" Twilight asked.
"I just wanted to take a break from the Daring Do series of books and wanted to exercise a bit." Rainbow replied.
"Daring Do?" a pony said to them self, "This might be the opportunity I've been waiting for!" With a flash, the mysterious pony vanished.

Twilight and Rainbow were busy talking about the Daring Do series of books while walking around Ponyville.
"So, you're on the Ruby Challis story?" Twilight questioned.
"Yeah, it's really interesting." Rainbow replied.
"I'm glad you're finding the books enjoyable." Twilight continued. Pinkie Pie, like a shot, ran up to the two.
"You two," Pinkie exclaimed, "You've got to come to the town square! You're never going to believe it!" Pinkie ran off before Twilight and Rainbow could speak.
"It sounds like it's really something," Twilight stated, "We'd better head back."

The group headed to town square where a huge crowd gathered.
"Fillies and gentlecolts, one at a time, one at a time." the pony began.
"Ohmygosh!" a pony exclaimed, "It can't be!"
"It is!" another pony chimed in, "It's the true blue one!"
"Now, now," the pony in the center continued, "Calm down." Twilight and Rainbow navigated through the crowd to the middle of the square. Both jaws dropped and their eyes grew wide.
"IT CAN'T BE!" they both exclaimed, "DARING DO IN THE FLESH!"

The pony standing before them was Daring Do.
"No way!" Twilight said, "It's Daring Do!"
"I can't believe my eyes either!" Rainbow added.
Daring Do looked eyes with Rainbow Dash.
"Ah, and are you my precious, a fan of me?" DD asked. Rainbow blushed a bit, nervously, hid her face in her outstretched wing and nodded.
"Y-y-yes, I am." she said nervously.
"Well, it's always nice to meet my fans." Daring Do replied. Twilight stared at Rainbow Dash and Daring Do.
"Something about Daring Do just screams that I met this pony somewhere before." she said to herself. She decided to not to worry about it as she saw how happy Rainbow Dash was as Daring Do lifted her hoof and kissed it.
"Would you like to explore the area, with me," Daring Do asked, "The one-and-only Daring Do?" Rainbow Dash grinned wildly and jumped up and down.
"A chance to go on an adventure, with the real Daring Do?" Rainbow replied, "Oh my gosh!" Daring Do smiled happily as the two began to walk down the path. Nopony noticed this, expect for Twilight, but a tuft of yellow hair was sticking out from around the flank area.
"Wait a minute..." Twilight said softly, "Something's not right here..."

Daring Do and Rainbow Dash were exploring all over Ponyville, and they eventually came to the Everfree Forest.
"My partner shouldn't be afraid of anything, right?" Daring Do asked. Rainbow nodded her head.
"I'm not afraid of anything!" Rainbow exclaimed. The two ventured into the Everfree Forest.
The eventually came out to a huge fissure. The huge gap between the sides made flying tough. Daring Do improvised and tied a vine to a tree branch.
"Grab my hoof and hold on tight!" DD exclaimed. Rainbow hesitated, but did what she was told. She grabbed onto Daring Do's hoof, and then Do's body and the two swung on the vine. Holding on tightly, Daring Do smiled at looking at the biggest treasure ever found; Rainbow Dash.

The two made it across the other side and Rainbow hugged Daring Do tightly. This knocked the hat off and mussed the mane up.
"Oh my, I'm so sorry Daring Do!" Rainbow exclaimed, trying to pick up the hat.
"It's no problem, my little pony, I can do it myself." Daring Do replied. As DD bent over to reach for the hat, a loud rip was heard. The Daring Do outfit ripped clean in half.
"Daring Do..." Rainbow said, sadly. The outfit burst off, revealing the pony behind Daring Do, White Lightning. Rainbow Dash just stood there, flabbergasted as White blushed nervously.
"Hey there Rainbow Dash..." he said nervously, "Long time no see."
"White..." Rainbow Dash said, crying, "How could you..." White picked up the hat and brushed Rainbow's tears from her eyes.
"I may not be the real Daring Do, but I'm your Daring Do, right?" White asked. Rainbow Dash looked down at the ground then at White, who had the Daring Do hat on.
"You're absolutely right." Rainbow replied, White smiled and adjusted the hat.

"Now, little lady, how about you and I, explore some more?" White asked. Rainbow Dash smiled, and laughed and took White's outstretched hoof.
"I'm ready to explore with you, my Daring Do." Rainbow Dash replied. White smiled and he pulled Rainbow in closer and grabbed a hold of the vine and swung back over the other side of the fissure. Gently letting Rainbow Dash go, the two ran down the path to the entrance of the forest.
